A factor of being a working artist in this day and age is being adaptable when utilising your creative skills. Recently I accepted a private commission to paint a Noah's ark scene on a wooden shelf. It was quite a large scale piece of MDF but it was good to step away from my personal work which I've been focusing a lot on and do something a bit more light hearted. It reminded me of drawing cartoon characters when I was a kid and was a nice breath of fresh air.

Times are a changin'
A new series of paintings inspired by social goings on as the world changed during the 1960's with reflections to the modern era.
From looking to the heavens for answers to looking into screens for them.

Art on the wards
This month I went to the opening of the brand new endoscopy ward at the royal Surrey county hospital as I'd been asked by the head matron if I would like to donate a piece of art to liven up the new walls. The piece I choose 'Town Crier' 2010 was quite fitting for the purple interior colour scheme and now hangs in the reception area as part of a permanent collection.

Electric Lightning
This is the last painting of 2012 I was commissioned to do. It depicts the iconic English Electric Lightning fighter jet breaking the sound barrier along with marching RAF service men.

Street dogs and Sangria
Back in October I took a little trip to southern Portugal. Here's some sketches and paintings I did between soaking up the sun, whiskey and wine.
